Ludwig Supraphonic 1976 LM400 5x14 Snare Drum. The Supraphonic is one of the most recorded snares in history because of its consistent and reliable sound and playability. The anti-galvanized aluminum shell, configured with 10 lugs, triple-flanged hoops, and the P-85 snare strainer offers a smooth and sensitive quality. This Supraphonic is in overall very good condition. The lugs are in great shape with shiny chrome and no pitting. The shell has some pitting, scratches, and flaking chrome that most Supraphonic's get after years of being played. The hoops are in great shape and hold the heads flush along the flanged-in bearing edges. The badge sits flush against the shell and has serial number 1663626 making this drum date 1976 according to Ludwig's dating guide. The heads have been upgraded to Remo Emperor Coated on the batter and Remo Diplomat snare side. This snare drum still delivers it's flawless Supraphonic sound and it adds character to any kit!
